About Samuel D. Transue, Esq.

Samuel D. Transue joined the Firm in 2024 after serving three years as Criminal Prosecutor for the 12th Judicial District in Sarasota County. Prior to becoming an attorney in 2016, Mr. Transue spent 18+ years as a Project Engineer, Registered Roof Consultant, and Design Consultant in an architectural/Engineering firm that focused primarily on Building Envelope issues (Roofs, Wall, Windows, etc.) for Commercial and Residential construction projects throughout the United States and Florida. Mr. Transue has also worked for many other clients as an independent consultant and is experienced in design, design review, cost estimating, scheduling, and various government bid processes, to name a few. Mr. Transue is also a Florida Certified Building Contractor and Roofing Contractor and has personally managed the construction of many residential and commercial construction projects over the years.  Mr. Transue worked full-time as a consultant and contractor while attending Law School, and now holds a Juris Doctor degree from Barry University School of Law (2016) and a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Central Florida. As an attorney Mr. Transue has represented contractors, sub-contractors, design professionals and homeowners on various issues, including Construction Defect litigation, Arbitration, Mediation (with over 100 mediations as a mediator), Insurance Defense, Real Property issues, and even intellectual property disputes and probate. Mr. Transue is admitted to practice law before the Florida Supreme Court, as well as the Northern, Middle, and Southern District Courts in Florida.
